Hi Prenovaters, hope you're enjoying your summers. Whether you're working or enjoying a vacation, we'll bet you've found a favorite food or drink to help you cool off. In fact, you all have shifted our Food-Grading Engine search results to frozen treats over the last couple weeks. Recently, Strawberry Ice Cream topped the charts.

Despite what we've taught you about the high phosphorus content in dairy-based foods, this smooth treat is relatively low in phosphorus and potassium. Still, if you're committed to a strict low-phosphorus diet, you might want to try
Frozen Juice Bars instead. A 100% juice bar will not only give you lower phosphorus, but also lower saturated fat and likely sugar

Hi Prenovaters! This week, Chocolate Pudding topped the most-searched list in our Food-Grading Engine. We like to think of pudding as yogurt's more tempting cousin; it's wonderfully smooth but is filled with hidden nutrients that can throw your kidney diet off track. Like other dairy-based foods you've searched for, the high levels of potassium and phosphorus in store-bought pudding might not be a great choice if you follow strict kidney guidelines.  For a kidney-friendly alternative, try using Chocolate Pudding Dry Mix  instead. Combine the powder with a non-dairy liquid (i.e almond milk), and you'll cut the potassium and phosphorus content in half!

Hint: You're likely to cut potassium even further by choosing a pudding flavor other than chocolate.
