We're a couple weeks away from beach season. Is that why so many of you Prenovate users have been searching the Food-Grading Engine for juices- mainly V8 Vegetable Juice?
We've heard great things about the health effects of this low-calorie nutrient-rich drink. But, at over 800mg per cup, V8 could have too much potassium to meet your kidney guidelines. Unfortunately, its hidden sodium doesn't help its case.
Instead of V8, try drinking a half-cup of Orange Juice. Compared to V8, OJ has significantly less potassium and sodium, and it still provides hefty servings of antioxidants.
*Remember that juice (with all its free sugars) is a treat. Try not to drink it at every meal.
